Submitting students requests and grievances <\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

The University of Baghdad College of Pharmacy has clear, transparent and multiple procedures to address all student requests and grievances. The college officials and faculty members have an open-door policy for students\u2019 requests and grievance. The procedures for submitting request include the followings:<\/span><\/p>\n

  1. The student can submit his\/her request or grievance by directly contacting faculty (in-person or via email), department head, the assistant dean for student affairs, assistant dean for administrative affairs.<\/span><\/li>\n
  2. The student can submit his\/her request or grievance indirectly through the students\u2019 representative(s) for individual or cohort request who can easily and directly contact the faculties, department head, the assistant dean for student affairs, assistant dean for administrative affairs, or the dean.<\/span><\/li>\n
  3. If the issues are not solved by the faculty, department head or dean assistants,<\/strong> the student could directly submit a complaint to the dean\u2019s office or even request a direct visit. The dean\u2019s office has a record of all the students and representatives\u2019 visits.<\/span><\/li>\n
  4. The student could submit his\/her request or grievance directly (in person or via email) to the Citizens Affairs Unit in the college which is directly related to the dean\u2019s office<\/span><\/li>\n
  5. The student could submit his\/her request or grievance indirectly via students\u2019 grievance box in the college which enables students to drop their request or grievance in written form. This box is opened weekly by the Psychological Counseling and Educational Guidance Unit. This Unit involves faculties responsible for dealing with students\u2019 personal or educational problems and trying to help the student to overcome them.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Every student complaint is taken into consideration, sorted into academic and non-academic issues. Efforts are always made to solve the problems according to their type. Academic issues are referred to the assistant dean or the dean to be solved within a short timeframe. The non-academic issues are also taken into consideration and solved by the Social Counselor or other related specialized personnel. We do our best<\/strong> to solve all submitted issues within one week of the box opening time.<\/span><\/p>\n

    Furthermore, the students can contact (via email psychoedu@copharm.uobaghdad.edu.iq<\/a> or in-person) the Psychological Counseling and Educational Guidance Unit directly for any unsatisfied queries or grievance. The Unit faculty already solved several student complaints by meeting the students in the Unit office (which is located on the 2nd<\/sup> floor of the main building above the Journal Office). <\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n
