The College Council<\/strong><\/span><\/h1>\n<\/div><\/div>

Is the college’s highest administrative and academic body. It is responsible for determining general policies and developing academic, administrative, and financial plans. It also reviews academic research, admission and registration procedures, and determines the college’s human resource and infrastructure needs. The Council also oversees performance monitoring and quality assurance to ensure the successful achievement of the college’s goals.<\/span><\/p>\n

The College Council consists of permanent members:<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n

The Dean of the College (Chairman of the Council), the Dean\u2019s Assistant for Academic and Student Affairs, the Dean\u2019s Assistant for Administrative Affairs, the heads of academic departments, and a representative of the Iraqi Academics Syndicate<\/span><\/p>\n

The College Council held its first session for the first semester of the 2025\/2026 academic year at the College of Pharmacy, University of Baghdad. The session was chaired by Professor Dr. Sarmed Hashim Kadhim, and attended by the Council members. <\/span>At the beginning of the session, the Council Chairman welcomed the members and wished them success in their work. <\/span><\/p>\n

  1. Recommendation to approve the discussion minutes of a group of graduate students.<\/span><\/li>\n
  2. Recommendation to approve the postgraduate admission plan for the 2026-2027 academic year.<\/span><\/li>\n
  3. Approval to form discussion committees for a group of graduate students.<\/span><\/li>\n
  4. Approval to adopt a dedicated electronic platform for monitoring and evaluating summer training for undergraduate students.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

                                The College Council held its sixteenth meeting for the second semester of the 2025\/2026 academic year at the College of Pharmacy, University of Baghdad. The meeting was chaired by Professor Dr. Sarmed Hashim Kadhim and attended by the council members. At the beginning of the meeting, the council chair welcomed the members and wished them success in their work.<\/span><\/p>\n

                                The following decisions were made:<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

                                  \n
                                1. Recommendation to approve the researches of the faculty members.<\/span><\/li>\n
                                2. Recommendation to approve the academic promotion of a group of faculty members.<\/span><\/li>\n
                                3. Recommendation to approve the discussion minutes of graduate students.<\/span><\/li>\n
                                4. Approval to form committees to discuss a group of graduate students.<\/span><\/li>\n
                                5. Approval of the recommendation of the Scientific Independence Committee<\/span><\/li>\n
                                6. Approval to reduce the tuition fees for a parallel program student.<\/span><\/li>\n
                                7. Failing a student due to absence.<\/span><\/li>\n
                                8. Ratification of the academic program description.<\/span><\/li>\n
                                9. Review of the scientific publication report for March and April for all scientific branches.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
