{"id":10619,"date":"2025-06-01T21:28:17","date_gmt":"2025-06-01T21:28:17","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/en.copharm.uobaghdad.edu.iq\/?p=10619"},"modified":"2025-06-01T21:28:17","modified_gmt":"2025-06-01T21:28:17","slug":"insilico-study-synthesis-and-preliminary-cytotoxicity-evaluation-of-new-4h-14-benzothiazine-derivatives","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/en.copharm.uobaghdad.edu.iq\/?p=10619","title":{"rendered":"Insilico Study, Synthesis, and Preliminary Cytotoxicity Evaluation of New 4H-1,4-Benzothiazine Derivatives"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"wpb-content-wrapper\"><p>[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 19px;\">The College of Pharmacy discussed the PhD dissertation entitled \u201c<em>Insilico<\/em> Study, Synthesis, and Preliminary Cytotoxicity Evaluation of New 4H-1,4-Benzothiazine Derivatives\u201d by the student Haider Jabbar Madloul and his supervisor, Assistant Professor Dr. Mohammed Kamil Hadi, at the Pharmaceutical Chemistry Department.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 19px;\">The study aimed to study \u00a0new 4H-1,4-benzothiazine derivatives of ethyl 4H-benzo[b] [1,4] thiazine-3-carboxylate, which synthesized by the reaction of 2-amino-thiophenol with ethyl bromopyruvate in a slightly basic medium. From this ester, a 4H-benzo[b][1,4]thiazine-3-carbohydrazide was synthesized. Three different series of derivatives were successfully synthesized; 6 Schiff bases derivatives, 4 sulphonamides derivatives, and 3 semicarbazides derivatives<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 19px;\">The study included <em>Insilco<\/em> study of a new 4H-1, 4-benzothiazine derivatives, characterization spectroscopically and <em>invitro<\/em> cytotoxicity evaluation of them against two cell line<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 19px;\">The study concluded that <em>in-vitro<\/em> cytotoxicity assay (<strong>MTT assay<\/strong>) demonstrated that all target compounds possess high cytotoxicity effects (IC<sub>50<\/sub> less than 20 \u00b5M). Therefore the most promise derivatives against both 4HJO and MCF-7 cancer cell lines were <strong>SH6<\/strong>, <strong>S4<\/strong>, and <strong>CN1<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 19px;\">The results showed that the most cytotoxic derivate against A549 lung cancer cell line were <strong>SH6<\/strong> possesses (IC<sub>50<\/sub>: 3.88\u00b5M), <strong>S4<\/strong> possesses (IC<sub>50<\/sub>:4.18 \u00b5M), and <strong>CN1<\/strong> possesses (IC<sub>50<\/sub>: 7.58 \u00b5M) compared with reference Erlotinib possesses (IC<sub>50<\/sub>: 3.86\u00b5M); Also all synthesized compounds are promise as anti- proliferative against MCF7 cancer cell line but the most cytotoxic derivate were <strong>SH6<\/strong> possesses (IC<sub>50<\/sub>: 2.71\u00b5M), <strong>S4<\/strong> possesses (IC<sub>50<\/sub>: 2.68 \u00b5M), and <strong>CN3<\/strong> possesses (IC<sub>50<\/sub>: 3.50 \u00b5M).<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 19px;\">The study recommended to complete the pharmacokinetic studies of all synthesized compounds, further <em>invitro <\/em>cytotoxic activity research on different cancer cell lines and <em>invivo <\/em>study is recommended, study the selectivity of the target compounds against EGFR and evaluation of the synthesized compounds against other targeted receptors like FGFR.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column]<div id=\"cz_60886\" class=\"cz_grid_p cz_60886\"><div class=\"cz_grid cz_grid_1 clr cz_grid_c2 cz_grid_1_no_title cz_grid_1_mid tac cz_tooltip cz_grid_1_no_title\"><div class=\"cz_grid_item cz_grid_first\"><\/div><div class=\"cz_grid_item \"><div data-title=\"Picture1\"><a class=\"cz_grid_link \" href=\"https:\/\/en.copharm.uobaghdad.edu.iq\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/80\/2025\/06\/Picture1-1.jpg\" data-xtra-lightbox><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"290\" height=\"218\" src=\"https:\/\/en.copharm.uobaghdad.edu.iq\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/80\/2025\/06\/Picture1-1.jpg\" class=\"attachment-codevz_600_600\" alt=\"\" title=\"Picture1\" \/><div class=\"cz_grid_details\"><i class=\"fa fa-search cz_grid_icon\"><\/i><\/div><\/a><\/div><\/div><div class=\"cz_grid_item \"><div data-title=\"Picture2\"><a class=\"cz_grid_link \" href=\"https:\/\/en.copharm.uobaghdad.edu.iq\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/80\/2025\/06\/Picture2-1.jpg\" data-xtra-lightbox><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"530\" height=\"600\" src=\"https:\/\/en.copharm.uobaghdad.edu.iq\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/80\/2025\/06\/Picture2-1-530x600.jpg\" class=\"attachment-codevz_600_600\" alt=\"\" title=\"Picture2\" \/><div class=\"cz_grid_details\"><i class=\"fa fa-search cz_grid_icon\"><\/i><\/div><\/a><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>[\/vc_column][\/vc_row]<\/p>\n<\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text] The College of Pharmacy discussed the PhD dissertation entitled \u201cInsilico Study, Synthesis, and Preliminary Cytotoxicity Evaluation of New 4H-1,4-Benzothiazine &#8230; <a class=\"cz_readmore\" href=\"https:\/\/en.copharm.uobaghdad.edu.iq\/?p=10619\"><i class=\"fa czico-132-arrows-8\" aria-hidden=\"true\"><\/i><span>more<\/span><\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":9,"featured_media":10620,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"_lmt_disableupdate":"","_lmt_disable":"","footnotes":""},"categories":[3,7,5],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-10619","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-latest-news","category-dissuasion","category-last-news"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v25.8 -
