Kathem AlKhateeb, and the Dean of Al-Rafidain University College, Professor Dr. Mahmoud Jawad Abu Al-Shaer, and as part of the college&#8217;s commitment to support students psychologically and socially and to equip them with the life skills that contribute to building a balanced and stable future, the Psychological Counseling and Educational Guidance Unit at Al-Rafidain University College, in cooperation with its counterpart at the College of Pharmacy\/ University of Baghdad, organized an awareness workshop titled \u201cCriteria for Choosing a Life Partner\u201d, delivered by Assistant Professor Dr. Lubna Abdalkareem Sabri on Monday, April 28, 2025, in the presence of a group of students.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 19px;\">The workshop aimed to shed light on the psychological, social, religious, and intellectual foundations that should be taken into consideration when taking the step towards commitment and building a family, as this workshop takes part of a series of activities that aim to prepare students to be more aware of their choices and more ready to build successful relationships based on mutual respect and understanding.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 19px;\">The workshop addressed the difference between emotional attraction and rational decision-making, the importance of compatibility in values and future vision, and the impact of family background and upbringing on the success of a relationship.
