Kathem Alkhateeb, the Continuing Education Unit at the University of Baghdad\/College of Pharmacy held an in-person workshop entitled \u201cThe Use of Microwave Reactor (Monowave 400) in Organic Synthesis\u201d, delivered by Lecturer Dr. Wurood Shihab Ahmed, a faculty member at the Pharmaceutical Chemistry Department.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 19px;\">The workshop aimed to explain the working principle of the Monowave 400 device, and to train participants on operating the device and preparing chemical reactions.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 19px;\">The workshop included several topics, including an introduction to the concept of microwave-assisted reactions and an explanation of the difference between conventional and microwave heating (e.g., reaction acceleration, solvent reduction, yield improvement, and purity enhancement).
