{"id":1106,"date":"2022-11-26T13:29:10","date_gmt":"2022-11-26T13:29:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/en.copharm.uobaghdad.edu.iq\/?p=1106"},"modified":"2022-11-26T13:29:10","modified_gmt":"2022-11-26T13:29:10","slug":"discussed-the-relationship-between-antioxidant-biomarkers-and-element-levels-in-blood-samples-from-iraqi-breast-cancer-patients","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/en.copharm.uobaghdad.edu.iq\/?p=1106","title":{"rendered":"Discussed the relationship between antioxidant biomarkers and element levels in blood samples from Iraqi breast cancer patients."},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 19px;\">The Faculty of Pharmacy discussed the high Mister thesis by Hadeel Saeed Hadi and her supervisor, lecturer Dr. Shaymaa Abdulzahra Abbas in the Clinical Laboratory Sciences Department, presented their Master&#8217;s degree thesis, &#8220;Correlation of Antioxidant Biomarkers With Elements Levels in Blood Sample of Iraqi Breast Cancer Women,&#8221; to the Faculty of Pharmacy.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 The study aimed to evaluate\u00a0 and measure the serum levels of antioxidant biomarkers \u00a0like GSH, SOD, GR, GSR-PX, and Sulfhydryl group in the four studied groups, Measure the blood levels of trace elements like iron, copper and zinc in the four studied groups and Possible correlation between serum levels of antioxidant biomarkers and trace elements.\u00a0\u00a0 This study include participants are divided into group 1 include healthy women as control, group 2 include women with benign disease, group 3 include women with metastasized breast cancer and group 4 include women with breast cancer free from metastasis. Taken the samples and measured the levels of trace elements by colorimetric assay, and the levels of antioxidant biomarkers by ELISA assay.\u00a0 \u00a0 This study concluded that:\u00a0The levels of zinc, copper and iron were significantly reduced in the metastasized breast cancer patients in comparison with other studied groups.
