{"id":1220,"date":"2022-12-11T19:09:32","date_gmt":"2022-12-11T19:09:32","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/en.copharm.uobaghdad.edu.iq\/?p=1220"},"modified":"2022-12-11T19:09:32","modified_gmt":"2022-12-11T19:09:32","slug":"discussion-evaluate-the-effect-of-occupational-exposure-to-ionized-radiation-in-catheterization-laboratory-workers-and-its-effect-on-the-thyroid-gland-in-karbala-governorate","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/en.copharm.uobaghdad.edu.iq\/?p=1220","title":{"rendered":"Discussion ((Evaluate the Effect of Occupational Exposure to Ionized Radiation in Catheterization Laboratory Workers and Its Effect on the Thyroid Gland in Karbala Governorate))"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 18px;\">The faculty of pharmacy discussed the high diploma\u00a0 thesis tagged \u201cEvaluate the Effect of Occupational Exposure to Ionized Radiation in Catheterization Laboratory Workers and Its Effect on the Thyroid Gland in Karbala Governorate\u201d by Abeer Elttayef Mohammed and the supervisor, Assist Prof. Dr. Ahmed Hamed Jwaid in the department of Pharmacology and Toxicology.\u00a0 The aim of this study was to evaluate the effect of low-dose occupational radiation exposure on thyroid hormone alteration among catheterization laboratory workers.\u00a0Thyroid hormones (thyroid stimulating hormones, triiodothyronine, thyroxin, free triiodothyronine, and free thyroxin) were measured for sixty medical staff workers (male and female) who work in Karbala cardiology center, 30 of whom work in the catheterization laboratory department and 30 of whom work in other departments in the same center, in a case-control study.
