Under the supervision of the respected Dean of the College of Pharmacy, Professor Dr. Sarmed H. Kadhem AlKhateeb, the University Psychological Counseling Unit at the College of Pharmacy \/ University of Baghdad organized an in-person educational workshop entitled \u201cAuthority Between Trust and Deviation: The Impact of Entrusting It to Unaware Elites\u201d<\/strong>, delivered by Assistant Lecturer Nargis Jabbar Saleh and Assistant Lecturer Iman Sattar Razzaq from the University Psychological Counseling Unit.<\/span><\/p>\n

The workshop aimed to discuss the impact of entrusting authority to individuals lacking awareness, and to explore the differences between governing with integrity and deviation from ethical leadership, in order to understand how these factors affect societal stability and development, as well as to enhance students\u2019 awareness of the importance of responsible leadership.\u00a0<\/span>The workshop included several key themes, such as: the definition of authority and its role in society; integrity in the use of authority and how to achieve justice and stability; deviation in authority, forms of corruption, and abuse of power; the consequences of entrusting authority to unaware elites on social and political levels; real-life examples of environmental system crimes and models of administrative corruption; and enhancing youth awareness by highlighting the role of students and society in oversight and accountability.<\/span><\/p>\n

The workshop concluded that entrusting authority to unaware elites leads to deviation and corruption and undermines societal stability, whereas integrity and accountability in leadership promote development and public trust. This underscores the necessity of youth and societal awareness to preserve a just and responsible community founded on fairness and accountability.<\/span><\/p>\n
