Under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Pharmacy, Professor Dr. Sarmed H. Kathem Alkhateeb, the Scientific Affairs Division at the University of Baghdad\/College of Pharmacy, held an in-person scientific seminar entitled \u201cSynthesis, Docking Study, and Preliminary Anti-inflammatory and Antimicrobial Evaluation of New Fenprofen Derivatives\u201d delivered by Pharmacist Ali Sadeq Kamil, the MSc student at the Pharmaceutical Chemistry Department.<\/span><\/p>\n

The seminar aimed to highlight the role of these compounds in pharmaceutical chemistry and biological systems, the importance of computational studies in developing new compounds, the synthesis of compounds derived from fenoprofen, and the significance of heterocyclic compounds in drug design.<\/span><\/p>\n

The seminar included several key topics, \u00a0including such as the definition of heterocyclic compounds, their importance in the pharmaceutical field, methods for synthesizing derivatives of fenoprofen, and the role of computational approaches in drug design and development. Also , it addressed their contribution to improving drug efficacy and reducing side effects, with reference to recent research trends in this field.<\/span><\/p>\n

The seminar concluded that integrating computational approaches with laboratory synthesis contributes to the discovery of promising drug compounds and supports the advancement of pharmaceutical chemistry research to meet medicinal needs.<\/span><\/p>\n
