Alkhateeb, and on the sidelines of the Design Day event, in a step that reflects the college\u2019s direction toward enhancing the partnership between academia and the industrial sector, the University of Baghdad College of Pharmacy has signed a scientific collaboration agreement with Middle East Pharmaceutical Industries, one of the leading companies in the pharmaceutical sector.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 19px;\">The collaboration aims to develop and manufacture a therapeutic agent targeting ulcerative colitis, leveraging the college\u2019s advanced expertise in nanotechnology and modern pharmaceutical formulations, contributing to the transformation of research outputs into effective pharmaceutical products.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 19px;\">During the preliminary meeting held at the company\u2019s headquarters, the college delegation represented by Professor Dr. Mowafaq Muhammed Ghareeb, PhD candidate Amna Mustafa Mohammed, and MSc student Rusul Hameed Aday delivered a comprehensive scientific presentation highlighting the college\u2019s research capabilities and its potential role in supporting various stages of drug development.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 19px;\">Representatives of the company expressed their strong appreciation for the advanced scientific level demonstrated, commending the college\u2019s ability to align academic research with industrial requirements, particularly in relation to compliance with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) standards.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 19px;\">This collaboration contributes to supporting the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal 3 (Good Health and Well-Being), Goal 9 (Industry and Innovation), and Goal 17 (Partnerships for the Goals).\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 19px;\">This collaboration stands as a successful model for integrating scientific research with the industrial sector, fostering national innovation and contributing to the advancement of the healthcare system.
