Under the patronage of the Dean of the College of Pharmacy, Professor Dr. Sarmed H. Kathem Alkhateeb, and under the supervision of the Head of the Clinical Pharmacy Department, Assistant Professor Dr. Samer Imad Mohammed, a group of faculty members from the Clinical Pharmacy Department have adopted a special electronic application for the college\u2019s summer training program for students. This initiative follows the successful pilot implementation of the application on PharmD students last year in an optional trial phase. This initiative comes from the importance of summer training in providing students with the opportunity to integrate theoretical knowledge acquired at the college with practical application in community pharmacies. It also aims to develop communication skills with patients, familiarize students with common medical conditions and appropriate professional approaches to their management under expert supervision, in addition to enhancing self-confidence and fostering professional responsibility.<\/span><\/p>\n

The application is designed to facilitate monitoring students\u2019 compliance throughout the summer training period and to record training hours completed in pharmacies, allowing accurate and organized follow-up by supervising faculty mwmbers. The application also includes periodic quizzes and simple assessments questions to evaluate students\u2019 knowledge and measure the extent of their benefit from practical pharmacy training. This initiative supports the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal 4 (Quality Education), by advancing teaching and practical training methods, and Goal 3 (Good Health and Well-being), through preparing qualified pharmacy professionals capable of delivering more efficient healthcare and community services.<\/span><\/p>\n

The adoption of this application is part of the summer training program scheduled to begin on 1 July 2026, marking an important step in the college\u2019s ongoing efforts to enhance academic supervision through modern electronic tools and improve the quality of practical training for its students.<\/span><\/p>\n
