Under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Pharmacy, Professor Dr. Sarmed H. Kathem Al-Khateeb, the University Psychological Counseling Unit, held an in-person workshop entitled \u201cTechnology, Its Advantages and Disadvantages\u201d, delivered by Assistant Professor Taghreed Nizamuddin Omar, a faculty member at the Pharmaceutical Chemistry Department.The workshop aimed to highlight the importance of technology and its role in facilitating various aspects of daily life. Addressing its major advantages in communication, education, and work, while raising awareness of the negative consequences of irresponsible technology use and promoting the responsible and balanced use of modern technologies.The workshop included several topics, including the concept of technology and its applications in everyday life, its major benefits in enhancing communication, education, and work efficiency, as well as the negative effects of excessive technology use, particularly on family relationships, mental health, and productivity. Emphasized the importance of maintaining a balanced use of technology and adopting appropriate practices to maximize its benefits.<\/span>
\nThe workshop concluded that technology is an effective tool for improving quality of life and enhancing services when used appropriately. However, excessive or irresponsible use may have negative effects on individuals, families, and society. The workshop also emphasized the importance of promoting digital awareness and encouraging the responsible use of technology to maximize its benefits while minimizing its adverse effects.<\/span>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column]
