Under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Pharmacy, Assistant Professor Dr. Sarmed H. Kathum Alkhateeb, the Scientific Affairs Unit at the College of Pharmacy \/ University of Baghdad held a scientific seminar presented by MSC St. Muntadher Salim Rasool in the pharmacognocy and medicinal plants department, about the effect of extracts of some types of medicinal plants such as nettle root , pumpkin seeds , serenoa fruits \u00a0and pygeum bark in treatment and decrease the symptoms of prostate hypertrophy in the elderly.\u00a0The lecture also covered benign prostatic hypertrophy in elderly men, its causes and symptoms, problems associated with prostate hypertrophy, and the uses of certain medicinal plants and the benefits of their indications in the prevention and reduction of associated side effects when compared to the continuous use of prostate drugs.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
