{"id":2026,"date":"2023-03-21T18:38:24","date_gmt":"2023-03-21T18:38:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/en.copharm.uobaghdad.edu.iq\/?p=2026"},"modified":"2023-03-21T18:38:24","modified_gmt":"2023-03-21T18:38:24","slug":"discussion-the-effect-of-ethyl-cellulose-on-the-release-of-doxycyline-hyclate-from-lyotropic-liquid-crystalline-of-glycerol-monooleate","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/en.copharm.uobaghdad.edu.iq\/?p=2026","title":{"rendered":"Discussion the effect of ethyl cellulose on the release of doxycyline hyclate from lyotropic liquid crystalline of glycerol monooleate"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"wpb-content-wrapper\"><p>[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 19px;\">The College of Pharmacy discussed the Higher Diploma thesis, tagged \u201cThe Effect of Ethyl Cellulose on the Release of Doxycyline Hyclate from Lyotropic Liquid Crystalline of Glycerol Monooleate\u201d, by student zainab qassim jafar and her supervisor, Lec.Dr. Firas Falih Hamudi, in the clinical pharmaceutics department.\u00a0The study\u2019s goal was to prepare lyotropic the liquid crystalline phase of doxycycline hyclate using glycerol monooleate and ethyl cellulose and to study the effects of different concentrations of doxycycline hyclate on the release profile. \u00a0Doxycycline hyclate was prepared as a sustained release formula as a glycerol monooleate liquid crystalline phase. Different formulas containing ethyl cellulose at different concentrations (5%, 10%, 15%, 20% w\/w) with a constant drug concentration (5% w\/w) were prepared. Also different formulas containing different drug concentrations (5, 10, 15 and 20%w\/w) at constant ethyl cellulose (20%w\/w) were prepared. The prepared formulas were evaluated for their drug content and <em>in-vitro<\/em> dissolution study. The effect of ethyl cellulose and drug concentration on the release properties of doxycycline hyclate in the liquid crystalline phase was studied. The particle shape and size determination of doxycycline Hyclate (F6) suspended in glycerol monooleate was studied using ordinary microscope.The results were controlled release formulations within 5 h for formulations containing (20% w\/w) ethyl cellulose with good drug content (95.5-99.6%).
