Prof. Dr. Munaf Hashim <\/strong>.The thesis aimed to evaluate Evaluation of Possible Protective Effect of Guggulsteron Against Cisplatin-Induced Nephrotoxicity in Rats by measuring some serum biomarkers related to kidney function , including serum creatinine , plasma urea nitrogen and Measurement of renal inflammatory markers:including NF-kB, TNF-a, IL-1b and Measurement of renal Antioxidant Index( SOD , GSH) and Malondialdehyde (MDA)\u00a0The concept of the thesis Data analysis revealed \u00a0guggulsterone treatment group resulted in a significant decrease compared to the cisplatin group (P &lt;0.05) in plasma urea nitrogen\u00a0 and serum creatinin levels, as well as a significant decrease (P&lt;0.05) in the activities of the pro-inflammatory cytokines TNF_alpha\u00a0 and IL-1, and NF-\u03baB. Furthermore, when compared to the Cisplatin (positive control) group, guggulsterone treatment resulted in a significant (p&lt;0.05) increase in the activities of antioxidant enzymes (SOD, reduced GSH) and a significant (P&lt;0.05) decrease in MDA levels.
