Prof Dr. Ali Faris Hassan <\/strong>in the Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology.\u00a0The thesis aimed to evaluate the possible protective effects of omega-7 against doxorubicin-induced cardiotoxicity in male rats.\u00a0The concept of the thesis Data analysis revealed that Lactate dehydrogenase and creatinine kinase-myocardial brand showed a non-significant <em>(p&gt;0.05)<\/em> change in group III (100mg\/kg omega-7) compared to group I and a significant decrease in group IV (300mg\/kg omega-7) compared to group II. Reactive oxygen species were significantly decreased in the omega-7 treated group when compared to the positive control group <em>(p&lt;0.05). <\/em>Superoxide dismutase showed a non-significant difference in the omega-7 treated group compared to the positive control group <em>(p&gt;0.05). <\/em>Catalase and glutathione peroxidase were significantly increased in the omega-7 treated groups when compared to the positive control group <em>(p&lt;0.05)<\/em>. malondialdehyde was significantly decreased in the omega-7 treated group when compared to the positive control group <em>(p&lt;0.05). <\/em>Tumor necrosis factor-alpha, Interleukin-6, and interleukin-1beta were significantly decreased in the omega-7 treated groups (100 and 300mg\/kg) compared to the positive control group (p&lt;0.05). Histological examination revealed a significant improvement in the heart section of omega-7 treated groups compared to the doxorubicin-only group.\u00a0This <em>in vivo<\/em> experimental study provides a piece of evidence for the possible protective effect of omega-7 in the amelioration of cardiac toxicity in doxorubicin-treated patients.\u00a0The study recommends the determination of the exact molecular mechanism responsible for the antioxidant effect of omega-7, the evaluation of the possible protective effects of omega-7 on other vital organs, like the kidney, brain, and liver, and studying the antioxidant effects of omega-7 in comparison with other known antioxidants like vitamin E and omega-3.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column]<div id=\"cz_37467\" class=\"cz_grid_p cz_37467\"><div class=\"cz_grid cz_grid_1 clr cz_grid_c2 cz_grid_1_no_title cz_grid_1_mid tac cz_tooltip cz_grid_1_no_title\"><div class=\"cz_grid_item cz_grid_first\"><\/div><div class=\"cz_grid_item \"><div data-title=\"1\"><a class=\"cz_grid_link \" href=\"https:\/\/en.copharm.uobaghdad.edu.iq\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/80\/2023\/04\/1-2.jpg\"
