Under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Pharmacy, Associate Professor Dr. Sarmed H. Kathum Alkhateeb, the Scientific Affairs Unit at the University of Baghdad\/College of Pharmacy, held an in-person scientific seminar on phytochemical investigation of Plumbago auriculata cultivated in Iraq, delivered by Massara Nazar Ahmed, the MSc student in the Pharmacognocy and Medicinal Plants Department. The seminar aimed to illustrate the importance of studying and identifying the chemical compounds of the Plumbago auriculata plant cultivated in Iraq by diagnosing these compounds and methods of separation. The seminar included various topics, including explaining the importance of the plant, its traditional uses for ancient times, the pharmacological activities of the plant and identification of the bioactive compounds present in the plant, the methods of diagnosing and separating these compounds, and the importance of bioactive compounds in pharmacological activities and medicinal uses.<\/span><\/p>\n
