The committee for reviewing and updating the curricula at the University of Baghdad\/College of Pharmacy held its meeting under the chairmanship of the Dean of the College, Associate Professor Dr. Sarmed H. Kathum Alkhateeb, with the attendance of its members on Tuesday, April 2nd<\/sup>, 2024. The meeting discussed several scientific topics related to the curricula of undergraduate and postgraduate studies. The final version of the update for the postgraduate studies curricula for all departments was discussed after previous work had been undertaken on it. Some finalizations will be made before being presented to the College Council for approval and subsequent administrative procedures for implementation. Additionally, the curricula for undergraduate studies were also discussed. The committee reviewed the first draft of the curriculum update project for all departments and discussed some of its details. It was emphasized that the update should be in line with scientific advancements, international pharmacy college curricula, and compatible with the needs of society and the employment market. The focus was on essential skills to enable pharmacists to perform their duties effectively, in line with the vision and goals of the College, covering all qualifications required for graduates.<\/span><\/p>\n
