Under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Pharmacy, Associate Professor Dr. Sarmed H. Kathum Alkhateeb, the Scientific Affairs Unit at the University of Baghdad\/College of Pharmacy, held an in-person scientific seminar entitled \u201cCrimean-Congo Hemorrhagic Fever,”\u00a0delivered by Assistant Lecturer Thulfiqar N. Kadhim, at the Clinical Pharmacy Department. The seminar aimed to increase awareness of hemorrhagic fever, ways of transmission, and ways to prevent it. The seminar included several topics, including the definition of the disease, the scope of its spread globally, the methods of its spread, the symptoms associated with the disease, and methods of prevention. Iraq witnessed an outbreak of the disease in the years 2022 and 2023, followed by tireless efforts by the Ministries of Health and Agriculture to control the spread. The seminar concluded that intensifying efforts to limit the spread of the disease by increasing awareness about methods of proper handling of livestock and combating the phenomenon of indiscriminate grazing and butchery, in addition to combating ticks that transmit the disease, Prevention techniques must also be strengthened in health institutions to protect workers and limit the spread.<\/span><\/p>\n
