Under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Pharmacy, Associate Professor Dr. Sarmed H. Kathum Alkhateeb, the College of Pharmacy \/ University of Baghdad, under the supervision of a group of \u00a0faculty members from the Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology, organized a scientific visit for fourth-stage\/ Pharm D class to the Poisoning Consultation Center in Medical City, supervised by Dr. Hussein Kadhim Hamoudi . The visit aimed at enabling the \u00a0students to know the practical aspects of the center\u2019s work, and matching that with their theoretical courses to reach the ultimate goal of the college, which is to prepare qualified and trained pharmacists to work in various fields. This visit include a detailed explanation about the evidence-based practice guidelines that are followed by the center\u2019s specialists and how to deal with various poisoning cases as well as the medicines available for this purpose and their optimal use. The specialized work team in the center also contributed to introducing the students to the most important tests used to detect various poisoning cases. The specialized doctor Ali. Yaaqoub at the center introduced the students to various units in the center and described how various poisoning cases are managed in detail, in addition to the materials and instruments used and data analysis methods. The students interact through the discussions and questions that were asked. This visit was under the supervision of lecturer Dr. Alaa Radhi Khudhair, Lecturer Dr. Farah Kais Abdul-Wahab, Dr. Zena Munther Ahmed, Lecturer Safa Mustafa Najim, Assistant Lecturer Amani Jabbar Hawi,\u00a0 and Assistant Lecturer Hiba zaki hammoodi.<\/span><\/p>\n
