The Faculty of Pharmacy discussed the master’s thesis tagged” Polymeric nanoparticles loaded Ebastine oral dosage form: preparation and characterization” by Hajer Shaheed Ali and her supervisor, Professor Dr. Nawal Ayash Rajab in the Pharmaceutics Department. The thesis aims to improve nanoparticle stability by using natural internal polymers and various types of stabilizers; improve solubility of poorly soluble Ebastine (second generation antihistamine); and improve patient acceptance (pediatric and geriatric) by loading it in easily swallowing oral jelly. \u00a0Thesis topics \u00a0include the preparation of polymeric nanoparticles by the solvent evaporation method and their characterization, the preparation of oral jelly; and the effect of storage conditions at different temperatures. The results proved that the preparation of epastin as polymeric nanoparticles by the anti-solvent deposition technique and then loading it directly as a liquid nanoscale suspension makes an effective, practical, and stable mouth dreamer. Therefore, it is a better way to install it and keep it at the size of a long time for nano and overcome the main disadvantage of nanoparticles, namely that they are related to aggregation and form voluminous particle sizes over time.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
