\u00a0The student Ali Haider Hashim, a fourth-year student in our college, and Associate Prof. Dr. Ihab Mudher Mikhail, a lecturer in the Clinical Pharmacy Department, have published a study titled: \u201cPharmacists\u2019 Opinions on the Safety, Efficacy, and Quality of Dietary Supplements Related to Rheumatic Diseases in Iraqi Pharmaceutical Markets.\u201d The study was published in one of the leading international journals, PLOS ONE, which is indexed in Scopus Q1. The full study can be accessed via the link. The study aimed to assess and understand the perceptions of Iraqi pharmacists regarding the safety, efficacy, and quality of dietary supplements related to rheumatic diseases, which are common diseases associated with chronic pain. Key recommendations from the study include: raising awareness among pharmacists about dietary supplements for rheumatic diseases, monitoring the quality of dietary supplements in the market to ensure their effectiveness and safety, conducting more research on the impact of supplements on rheumatic diseases, enhancing collaboration between pharmacists and health authorities to develop policies that ensure the safe use of supplements. This achievement highlights the significant role that local researchers play in advancing scientific knowledge and contributing to the improvement of healthcare\u00a0in\u00a0Iraq.<\/span><\/p>\n
