Associate Professor Dr. Sarmed H. Kathum Alkhateeb met with the faculty members in the presence of the dean\u2019s associates and the heads of scientific departments on Tuesday, September 10, 2024. The meeting was started with words of welcome and praise for the efforts of the faculty members at all levels at the beginning of the academic year, then he began to present the meeting’s agenda, which included<\/span><\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Emphasizing the importance of the practical aspect of the educational program to ensure students acquisition of the targeted skills and the use of new strategies and tools in education and assessment like the use of artificial intelligence programs in a manner that is consistent with the nature of the scientific material and contributes to enhancing students’ skills<\/span><\/li>\n
  2. The importance of scientific publishing in a way that reflects the quality of scientific research conducted in the college by focusing on publishing in the Q1 and Q2 indexed journals and the importance of monitoring the H index for each faculty member<\/span><\/li>\n
  3. International collaboration with reputable universities and benefitting from the MoUs signed by the University of Baghdad in the field of joint research, teaching and supervision of graduate students<\/span><\/li>\n
  4. Emphasizing the continuation of working with in-lecture quizzes through the student response system (clickers), which was started last academic year<\/span><\/li>\n
  5. Emphasizing the importance of recording student attendance using the biometric attendance system that was implemented last year and is now linked to a software that provides attendance and absence statistics.<\/span><\/li>\n
  6. The college\u2019s efforts and work to acquire accreditation by the National Council for Accreditation of Pharmacy Programs.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    The meeting concluded with acknowledgment for the efforts of all faculty members, wishing them a prosperous academic year.<\/span><\/p>\n
