Under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Pharmacy, Associate Professor Dr. Sarmed H. Kathem Alkhateeb, a volunteer campaign was held in the college library, with the slogan \u201cMy Library\u201d, organized by a group of fourth- and second-year students under the supervision of their professors, Lecturer Dr. Shaymaa Abdul Zahra, Associate Professor Dr. Aseel Ismail, faculty members at the Clinical Laboratory Sciences Department, Associate Professor Dr. Ali Azeez Ali, a faculty member at the Clinical Pharmacy Department, and the Library Division administrator, Associate Professor Suaad H. Moslem.\u00a0The Reading Club is a platform for students to recount, discuss, and reflect on what they read. This activity aims to promote reading among students and provides the opportunity to provide regular book reviews. Students’ creative, analytical, and critical skills are enhanced through these meetings.\u00a0The activity included introducing students to the library, which is considered one of the most important facilities in the college. It also seeks to enhance the spirit of volunteerism and cooperation by having fourth-stage students participate in small groups with second-stage students in reading, and students are allowed to choose books according to their desire. The discussion topic was chosen based on the issues students explore in their personal and\/or academic inquiries.\u00a0The importance of volunteering at universities cannot be stressed enough. It plays a crucial role in fostering a sense of community and instilling important values \u200b\u200bin students. Through volunteer activities, students learn the value of giving, become more compassionate toward others, and gain new skills and knowledge. It is a great opportunity to learn and grow, both personally and professionally. By engaging in volunteer work, people can gain valuable skills such as effective communication, problem-solving, teamwork, learn how to collaborate with diverse individuals, manage time effectively, and adapt to unexpected challenges. These experiences can be applied to different aspects of life, such as future employment or personal relationships.<\/span><\/p>\n
