Under the supervision of Dean of the College of Pharmacy, Professor Sarmed H. Kathem Alkhateeb, the Continuing Education Unit at the University of Baghdad\/College of Pharmacy held an in-person course entitled “Scientific Research: Fundamental Principles and Strategies,” delivered by Assistant Professor Taghreed Nizam Al-Deen Omar, Lecturer Dr. Wurood Shahab Ahmed, and Lecturer Azhar Mahdi Jassim, a faculty member at the Pharmaceutical Chemistry Department.<\/span><\/p>\n

The course aimed to enhance participants\u2019 abilities in understanding the fundamentals of scientific research and developing their skills in preparing a comprehensive research plan. It also sought to empower researchers to overcome common challenges encountered during the research process and to apply highly efficient methodological approaches.<\/span><\/p>\n

The three-day course covered several key topics, including an explanation of the basic principles of scientific research and how to prepare a research plan starting from defining the objective, formulating hypotheses, and selecting appropriate research tools. It also included a review of the best practical strategies that help researchers achieve their goals and obtain accurate, interpretable results. In addition, the course discussed the major challenges and problems that researchers may face during the research stages and presented effective methodological solutions based on recognized scientific standards.<\/span><\/p>\n

The course concluded with the successful achievement of its educational objectives, as participants gained a clearer understanding of the principles of scientific research and acquired practical steps that assist them in designing and conducting their studies with efficiency and professionalism.<\/span><\/p>\n
