Kathem Alkhateeb, the Continuing Education Unit at the University of Baghdad\/College of Pharmacy, held an in-person workshop entitled \u201cAptamer-Based-Nanoparticles&#8221;\u00a0delivered by Lecturer Dr. Nawar Mikhael Touma, a faculty member at the Pharmaceutics Department. The workshop aimed to introduce the concept of this type of nanostructure and its future significance as a drug delivery system. The workshop covered several key topics, including the definition of aptamers, their distinction from antibodies, their advantages, and their synthesis methods. Additionally, it explored the process of conjugating aptamers with various nanoparticles and the promising applications of these systems.
