Under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Pharmacy, Professor Dr. Sarmed H. Kathem Alkhateeb, the Continuing Education Unit at the University of Baghdad \/College of Pharmacy, held an in-person workshop entitled \u201cAntibiotic Misuse among Adolescents in the Middle East<\/strong>\u201d delivered by Assistant Professor Zinah M. Anwer, a faculty member at the Clinical Pharmacy Department.The workshop aimed to clarify the seriousness of the misuse of antibiotics and its dangerous impact on microbial resistance. The workshop also gave the academic team some instructions to spread enough awareness in the society about this problem. The workshop included several topics, including antibiotic resistance, dangerous impact of the misuse of antibiotics in the Middle East especially in Iraq, Saudi Arabia, Jorden, Syria, Egypt, United Arab Emirates, and Lebanon. The scientific workshop concluded that there are many reasons of antibiotic misuse which needs fitting solutions to avoid the spread of antibiotic misuse in the Middle East especially in Arab countries.<\/span><\/p>\n
