Under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Pharmacy, Professor Dr. Sarmed H. Kathem Alkhateeb, and with cooperation and follow-up by faculty members of the postgraduate studies in the Clinical Pharmacy Department, Associate Professor Dr. \u00a0Fadya Yaqoob Al-Hamadani, Associate Professor Dr. Samer Imad Mohammed and Associate Professor Dr.\u00a0 Ali Azeez Ali, Ibn Sina Unit for Electronic Education at the University of Baghdad\/College of Pharmacy held two online research methodology lectures for graduate students (PhD and Master’s) from the Clinical Pharmacy and Pharmacology & Toxicology departments in Al- Razzi Hall on Tuesday, February 25, 2025 in collaboration with Cardiff University School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences, UK. The first lecture entitled \u201cUndertaking research: What do I do and how do I do it?\u201d was presented by Dr. Louise Hughes, Senior Lecturer in Cardiff University, to give a general overview of how to plan and carry out a research project. This lecture included many topics like: how to choose a research topic and then how to review the literature, how to write a research proposal, how to develop aims and objectives, how to choose a research methodology, ethical and legal issues that you need to consider when conducting research and how to collect and record data, analyse data, and write up and disseminate findings. The second lecture entitled \u201cApplying different methodologies in pharmacy practice research: A longitudinal, multi-faceted evaluation of the Sore Throat Test and Treat service in Wales\u201d was presented by Dr. Efi Mantzourani, Professor in Pharmacy Practice\/ Cardiff University, to discuss a longitudinal, multi-faceted evaluation of the Sore Throat Test and Treat (STTT) service in Wales. This lecture included many topics like: explored the background of using diagnostics for sore throat management in Wales and the STTT service, explain the pilot evaluation of the STTT service, examined the post-pilot evaluation journey, including its aims and the studies conducted to evaluate its effectiveness.<\/span><\/p>\n
