Under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Pharmacy, Professor Dr. Sarmed H. Kathem Alkhateeb, our college organized a scientific visit to Pioneer Pharmaceutical Industries Company in Sulaymaniyah on Wednesday, April 9, 2025. The visit was attended by a number of faculty members and graduate students, with the aim of enhancing scientific and professional cooperation, and gaining insight into modern technologies and advanced pharmaceutical manufacturing methods. The visit began with a warm welcome from the management of Pioneer Company and included a detailed tour of the various sections of the factory. This tour covered the production lines, quality control units, quality assurance laboratories, as well as the warehouses. The company experts provided a comprehensive explanation of the manufacturing stages and the challenges facing the pharmaceutical industry in Iraq and the region. During the visit, an open discussion session was held between the faculty members and students on one side, and the company experts on the other, to discuss future cooperation opportunities in the fields of research, training, and the exchange of scientific and practical expertise. At the end of the visit, the participants expressed their gratitude and appreciation to the management of Pioneer Pharmaceutical Industries Company for their warm reception and excellent organization. They emphasized the importance of such visits in strengthening the links between academic and industrial institutions, and their role in advancing the development of the pharmaceutical industry in Iraq.
