Under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Pharmacy, Professor Dr. Sarmed H. Kathem Alkhateeb, the Clinical Pharmacy Department at the College of Pharmacy / University of Baghdad conducted the second Objective Structured Clinical Examination (OSCE) exam for third-year students in the PharmD program. The exam involved several faculty members from the Clinical Pharmacy Department, along with a group of fifth-year PharmD students. The OSCE is an advanced practical assessment aimed at measuring students’ ability to apply theoretical knowledge in real-life clinical scenarios. It focuses on evaluating core clinical skills essential for practicing clinical pharmacy, such as patient communication, health assessment, and providing pharmaceutical counseling. The importance of this exam lies in its role as a key step in preparing PharmD students to become competent clinical pharmacists capable of delivering comprehensive pharmaceutical care to patients.
