The College of Pharmacy at the University of Baghdad, in cooperation with several Iraqi pharmacy colleges, organized the International Conference and Exhibition for Pharmacy, held from April 18 to 20, 2025. The event involved the participation of more than 3,000 pharmacists from various Iraqi universities and provinces, along with a number of participants from Arab and foreign countries.The opening ceremony was attended by the President of the University of Baghdad, Professor Dr. Bahaa Ibrahim Insaf, along with a group of distinguished academic figures. This conference is considered one of the most significant academic and professional events in the pharmaceutical sector. It included specialized scientific sessions delivered by a distinguished group of professors and international experts in pharmaceutical sciences and pharmaceutical industries. Additionally, advanced training workshops were held, focusing on enhancing pharmacists’ professional skills and improving their clinical and industrial practices. The student team from the College of Pharmacy at the University of Baghdad won first place in the scientific competition held as part of the conference activities, while the American University came in second place, and Al-Mustansiriya University secured third place. The conference also hosted an international exhibition for pharmaceutical companies, with the participation of many companies from inside and outside Iraq. The exhibition showcased the latest pharmaceutical products and technologies and served as a significant platform for strengthening communication between professionals and the industry, opening new opportunities for cooperation in research and development. On the third day, the College of Pharmacy at the University of Baghdad hosted the conference activities with the attendance of the Head of the Deans’ Committee of Pharmacy Colleges, Professor Dr. Munther Faisal Al-Amiri. Scientific sessions were held in Antaki and Razi halls to discuss participants’ research. On the sidelines of the closing ceremony, the Dean took a tour of the college’s facility, accompanied by several international guests, and met with a number of faculty members to exchange ideas and academic experiences between universities and explore modern methods in academic education. The Dean of the College of Pharmacy, Professor Dr. Sarmed H. Kadhem Al-Khateeb, expressed his pride in this event, emphasizing that the conference represents a unique moment that brings together academics, decision-makers, and the labor market. It provides a space for the exchange of ideas and the transformation of scientific research into practical solutions that contribute to improving human life.
