Under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Pharmacy, Professor Dr. Sarmad H. Kathem Al-Khateeb, the Support Committee for Volunteerism, in collaboration with fifth-year students and the Pharm-D group, organized a charitable fundraising campaign on Monday, April 21, 2025.The proceeds from this initiative were allocated to providing essential items, including clothing and other necessities, for children battling cancer at the Child Protection Teaching Hospital, affiliated with the Children Welfare Teaching Hospital/The Medical City, specifically within the Haematology Ward.Such initiatives are of profound importance in fostering a culture of volunteerism and humanitarian commitment among students of the College of Pharmacy. They also serve to encourage engagement in community-driven efforts aimed at alleviating the suffering of patients, particularly children afflicted with severe illnesses such as haematologic disorders and cancer.The campaign was met with enthusiastic participation from students, who expressed sincere appreciation for the opportunity to contribute to this impactful humanitarian experience, one that nurtures a deep sense of civic duty and social solidarity.
