Under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Pharmacy, Professor Dr. Sarmed H. Kathem Alkhateeb, the Continuing Education Unit at the College of Pharmacy / University of Baghdad held an in-person workshop titled “Psychological Adjustment and Its Impact on the Professional Environment”, presented by Assistant Lecturer Iman Sattar Razzaq, a member of the Continuing Education Unit at our college. The workshop aimed to clarify the concepts of psychological adjustment and the professional environment, and how these factors can positively influence or negatively reflect on individuals in general, and employees in particular. The workshop covered several key topics, including: the definition of psychological adjustment and professional environment, the causes of psychological maladjustment in individuals and how these can impact both the person and the workplace, the sources and stages of stress affecting individuals and their work, and the most important proposed solutions such as psychological relaxation techniques and meditation methods.The workshop concluded by emphasizing the importance of using these methods and relaxation techniques to achieve psychological and physical harmony. Adopting such practices can make a significant difference in an individual’s mental well-being.
