Out of a sense of national responsibility and a commitment to promoting integrity and transparency in the electoral process, and in response to national directives calling for the updating of the voter registration, the Dean of the College of Pharmacy, Professor Dr. Sarmed H. Kathem Alkhateeb, and the Associate Dean for Administrative Affairs, Professor Dr. Shihab Hattab Mutlak, welcomed a team from the Electoral Commission’s Registration Center on Sunday, May 25, 2025, in Al-Razi Hall, to conduct a biometric data update for employees and faculty members, in coordination with the Independent High Electoral Commission.

The update process included first-time voter registration, data correction, and the addition or deletion of information, ensuring the accuracy of the electoral register and the inclusion of the largest possible number of citizens.

The respected Dean affirmed his full support for this national initiative, highlighting the importance of everyone’s participation in updating their data to ensure the smooth and transparent practice of their electoral rights. He also emphasized the college’s readiness to provide the logistical and human resources necessary for the success of such initiatives.

This step aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly in building effective institutions and fostering broad community participation in decision-making.
