With the participation of more than 1,200 attendees, the province of Najaf witnessed the launch of the First International Scientific Conference of the Najaf Pharmacists Syndicate for the year 2025, held under the slogan: “Towards an Advanced Pharmacy Profession and Reliable Healthcare.”
The College of Pharmacy / University of Baghdad had a prominent presence in this important scientific event, represented by Assistant Professor Dr. Ali Azeez Ali, a faculty member in the Clinical Pharmacy Department, who delivered a valuable lecture on the role of the pharmacist in helping patients adhere to treatment for chronic diseases, emphasizing the importance of strengthening the pharmacist-patient relationship to enhance therapeutic outcomes, and Assistant Professor Muthana Saadi Farhan, member of the Council of the Iraqi Pharmacists Syndicate
Lecturer Mais Fadhel Mohammed, Director of the Media and Government Communication Division at the College, played a key role as the conference host and event director, while Assistant Lecturer Thulfiqar Nidhal, a faculty member in the Clinical Pharmacy Department, represented one of the sponsoring companies, further reflecting the college’s active engagement in the success of the event.
The conference was attended by a distinguished group of official and academic figures, including the Governor of Najaf, the President of the Provincial Council, members of the Iraqi Parliament, deans of pharmacy colleges, the President of the Iraqi Pharmacists Syndicate, the General Director of Najaf Health Department, and guests from inside and outside Iraq.
The participation of the College of Pharmacy / University of Baghdad reflects its pioneering role in advancing the pharmacy profession and its continued support for scientific activities that contribute to building an advanced academic and professional pharmaceutical field.
