As part of the academic cooperation among the colleges of the University of Baghdad, and in an effort to enhance the behavioral and communication skills of its administrative and media staff, Assistant Lecturer Rita Fayyadh Elia, a member of the Media Division at the College of Pharmacy, and Assistant Manager Nazar Majeed Muklif, Head of the Follow-Up Division, participated in a specialized training course organized by the Continuing Education Unit at the College of Mass Communication for the timeframe from June 22 to June 24, 2025, entitled “Protocol and Etiquette.”

The course aimed to promote the concepts of soft power in public relations and to develop the professional and behavioral competencies essential for staff working in academic and media institutions. It also focused on reinforcing principles of official etiquette and protocol across various professional settings, thereby enhancing institutional communication and fostering a collaborative work environment.

The course included several topics, such as soft skills and their role in public relations, etiquette and the art of negotiation with key figures, protocol within academic and media institutions, etiquette for formal visits and official occasions, and practical simulations of protocol situations to enhance the practical understanding of theoretical concepts.

The course concluded with notable engagement from participants, who commended the practical and relevant content for its impact on improving professional and administrative performance and promoting a culture of institutional professionalism in the workplace.
