The researchers, pharmacist Zainab Zuhair, a Master’s student in the Pharmaceutics Department, and Assistant Professor Dr. Khalid Kadhem Al-Kinani, Head of the Department of Pharmacognosy and Medicinal Plants, have published the results of their scientific research in one of the famous international journals ranked within the first quartile (Q1), known for its high impact factor and distinguished scientific reputation.
The research focused on the preparation of an innovative nano-formulation of the drug Etodolac, aiming to enhance its targeted intestinal release and improve its bioavailability, thereby increasing its therapeutic efficiency and reducing side effects. This work aligns with global trends in utilizing nanotechnology in drug delivery to achieve optimal therapeutic outcomes.
The publication of this research in a highly ranked journal represents a remarkable achievement that adds to the record of the College of Pharmacy – University of Baghdad, reflecting the advanced scientific level of its faculty and students, as well as the College’s commitment to supporting scientific research and encouraging postgraduate studies towards innovation and competitiveness in advanced fields.
