The University Of Baghdad College Of Pharmacy organized an awareness activity on October 28 focusing on the latest updates regarding breast cancer, under the patronage of the esteemed College Deanship and the supervision of the Women’s Affairs Unit, in cooperation with the University Psychological Counseling Unit, the Media and Government Communication Division, and the Voluntary Work Unit.
The activity included several segments, beginning with an art exhibition prepared by the creative hands of our students, featuring paintings and handcrafted works related to the occasion, as well as scientific posters that covered various aspects of breast cancer from the importance of early detection and prevention to the available treatment methods prepared by students under the supervision of their instructors. This was followed by a scientific seminar presented by our guest, Dr. Dalia Thamer Ahmed, a lecturer at the Iraqi University. The event concluded with a campus awareness campaign, during which students, accompanied by their instructors, distributed informative leaflets targeting female staff members.
The day was characterized by a blend of learning and enjoyment, as such activities—beyond their primary goal of raising awareness—also serve to strengthen the bond between students and their instructors, break the routine of daily classes, and encourage students’ talents and small projects.
