Under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Pharmacy, Professor Sarmed H. Kadhem Al-Khateeb, the Auditing and Internal Control Unit at the College of Pharmacy, University of Baghdad, held an in-person workshop entitled “The Importance of Auditing and Internal Control in Reducing Financial and Administrative Corruption” The workshop was delivered by Senior Auditor Adhraa Ahmed Noaman and Senior Auditor. Dalia Tarek Shaker from the Auditing and Internal Control Unit.

The workshop aimed to clarify the concept of auditing and internal control and highlight their pivotal role in promoting transparency and safeguarding financial and administrative resources.

The workshop covered several key topics, including the tasks of financial auditing, all related financial matters, and the procedures involved in conducting an audit. It also addressed the role and responsibilities of administrative control within the college. Additionally, the workshop discussed the importance of establishing effective control systems that enable institutions to detect and correct errors early, ensuring institutional stability.

The workshop concluded by emphasizing the significant role of the Auditing and Internal Control Unit in reducing financial and administrative corruption and fostering a culture of compliance and good governance within the institution.
