Under the patronage of the Dean of the College of Pharmacy, Professor Dr. Sarmed H. Kathem Alkhateeb, the Five-a-Side Football Championship commenced on Wednesday, 3/12/2025, on the college’s sports field. The championship was organized by the Student Activities Division at the College of Pharmacy, with broad participation from students of various stages as well as college graduates.
The championship was organized with the aim of developing students’ athletic skills, enhancing communication among them, and fostering a vibrant recreational atmosphere that promotes sports culture and instills the values of teamwork and sportsmanship within the university campus, while also reinforcing collaboration with college alumni and engaging them actively in extracurricular activities.
The championship began with an opening match that brought the two teams together in an enthusiastic atmosphere marked by friendly competition and high performance, with students and alumni in attendance supporting and encouraging the participating teams. The match ended with a score of 8–3, marking a promising start to the championship’s upcoming rounds.
The championship is scheduled to continue in the coming days, concluding with the final match and the awarding of trophies and prizes to the winning teams in celebration of their outstanding performance and high sportsmanship.
