Under the patronage of the Dean of the College of Pharmacy, Professor Dr. Sarmed H. Kadhem AlKhateeb, the Clinical Pharmacy Department, in cooperation with the Medical City Directorate, organized an Objective Structured Clinical Examination (OSCE) for its PHD students. The examination was conducted under the direct supervision of Assistant Professor Dr. Samer Imad Mohammed, Head of the Clinical Pharmacy Department, and with the participation of Dr. Hassan Mohammed Abbas, Specialist Pharmacist and Director-General of the Medical City Directorate, and Dr. Kawthar Faris, Scientific Assistant at Baghdad Teaching Hospital, alongside a number of specialist physicians and graduates of the Iraqi Board of Clinical Pharmacy.

A comprehensive set of eight examination stations was designed and implemented, simulating real clinical environments, with the aim of evaluating the students’ practical competencies and clinical skills. This examination constitutes an integral part of the overall assessment system for the practical training phase during the first semester of the 2025-2026 academic year. It seeks to achieve a set of objectives, most notably: enhancing clinical and practical skills, consolidating theoretical knowledge, and evaluating students’ ability to apply this knowledge in diverse clinical scenarios. This contributes to supplying healthcare institutions with highly qualified pharmaceutical cadres capable of advanced professional practice and research.
