Under the patronage of the Dean of the College, Prof. Dr. Sarmed H. Kathem Alkhateeb, the Volunteer Work Unit at the University of Baghdad College of Pharmacy organized, on Wednesday, 17 December 2025, a humanitarian campaign to support AI-Rashad Training Hospital in Baghdad, with the participation of a group of faculty members and students.

The campaign was initiated in response to reported shortages in certain services. During the visit, patients were provided with essential food items and clothing to help ease their suffering and meet their basic needs.

The visit also included a meeting with the hospital administration to identify its most urgent needs and to emphasize the continuation of cooperation and coordination in implementing future humanitarian initiatives that contribute to improving the quality of services provided to patients.

This initiative is part of a series of voluntary campaigns undertaken by the college to strengthen its community role and promote the values of social solidarity and humanitarian responsibility, in alignment with the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-Being) and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals).

Through this campaign, the College reaffirms its ongoing commitment to supporting the healthcare sector and enhancing partnerships between academic institutions and health institutions in a manner that serves the community and reinforces the humanitarian dimension of university work.
