Associate Professor Dr. Ali Azeez Al-Jumaili, a faculty member in the Clinical Pharmacy Department, has been selected as a member of the editorial board of the British journal BMC Health Services Research, ranked in the first quartile (Q1) in Scopus. The journal is part of the BioMed Central group and published by the global publisher Springer Nature.

This recognition comes in light of his distinguished research reputation: he has published more than 83 papers in British, American, and international journals, holds an H-index of 15 in Scopus, his work has been cited over 1,500 times, and he has reviewed more than 250 international scientific papers.

Dr. Ali Azeez started his duties as Assistant Editor-in-Chief since July 2025, overseeing and managing the peer-review process of dozens of research papers through to final acceptance or rejection, reflecting his extensive experience and familiarity with the latest global studies in his fields of specialization.

This achievement marks his second editorial board membership in prestigious international journals, as he also serves on the editorial board of the American journal Exploratory Research in Clinical and Social Pharmacy, ranked in the second quartile (Q2) in Scopus and published by Elsevier.

Such accomplishments reflect the openness of researchers at the University of Baghdad to reputable international journals and publishers, contributing to Iraq’s representation in the field of pharmacy and raising the name of the university and the country on the front pages of these journals, where editorial board members are proudly listed.
