Under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Pharmacy, Professor Dr. Sarmed H. Kathem Alkhateeb, the Rehabilitation and Employment Unit at the University of Baghdad/College of Pharmacy, held an in-person workshop entitled “Duties and Tasks of the Rehabilitation and Employment Unit” delivered by Assistant Professor Dr. Omar Saeb Salih, Head of the Rehabilitation and Employment Unit.

The workshop aimed to develop the self, scientific and professional capacities of students and graduates and to build life skills that provide them with competitive opportunity to obtain suitable jobs in both the public and private sectors after graduation.

The workshop included several topics including: enhancing the readiness of students and graduates for the labor market, learning professional CV writing skills, job interview techniques and answering expected questions, focusing on organizing job fairs and communicating with companies and relevant pharmaceutical marketing offices, the importance of creating electronic databases to follow up with students and graduates and highlighting the role of these skills in enhancing employment opportunities and competitiveness in the market.

The workshop concluded by introducing students to the labor market, applying their specialization practically within a work environment and preparing them to face professional challenges after graduation, thereby enhancing their readiness to integrate into the workforce with confidence and competence.
