The College of Pharmacy at the University of Baghdad continues to work on developing academically based, practice-oriented programs, particularly those related to industrial pharmacy, in response to the growing need to support the pharmaceutical industry and to build qualified cadres capable of contributing effectively to this sector.

In this context, the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research has approved the establishment of the Higher Professional Diploma in Industrial Pharmacy, following its endorsement by the Council of Ministers and in coordination with the Iraqi Pharmacists Syndicate. This step represents an important milestone that supports the direction the college has been pursuing in this field.

The college expressed its appreciation for this decision, as it carries significant academic and professional value by connecting university study with real-world practice and by enabling pharmacists to receive hands-on training that qualifies them to work in pharmaceutical manufacturing and industrial pharmaceutical development within national factories.

This program is expected to broaden the horizons of professional education within colleges of pharmacy, support innovation and pharmaceutical industry development, and positively contribute to both the health sector and the national economy.
