Under the direct supervision of the Dean of the College of Pharmacy, Prof. Dr. Sarmed H. Kathem Alkhateeb, and under the patronage of the Head of the Committee of Deans of Colleges of Pharmacy in Iraq, Prof. Dr. Mundhir Faisal Mahdi, and in the presence of a number of deans of colleges of pharmacy from Iraqi universities, the college hosted the Creativity and Excellence Award Examination for top-achieving students as part of its ongoing support for outstanding scientific talents and its commitment to fostering academic competition among pharmacy students across Iraqi universities.
The examination activities were conducted in a scientific and well-organized environment that reflected a high level of academic professionalism, as well as the college’s dedication to providing a fair and motivating examination setting that helps highlight students’ abilities and encourages them to continue striving for excellence and innovation.
The examination results revealed that Mohammed Khamis Walid from the University of Anbar secured first place, followed by Majd Maher Matti from the University of Mosul in second place, while Murtadha Haidar Ali from the University of Baghdad achieved third place in a scientific competition that embodied the spirit of excellence and academic integration among Iraqi universities.
This hosting reaffirms the role of the College of Pharmacy at the University of Baghdad as a leading academic center supporting national scientific initiatives and reflects its continuous efforts to promote a culture of creativity and excellence while strengthening cooperation among colleges of pharmacy in a manner that serves the advancement of pharmaceutical education in Iraq.
This activity contributes to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal 4: Quality Education, and Goal 17: Partnerships for the Goals, through promoting academic excellence and strengthening inter-university collaboration.
