On Sunday, June 28, 2026, Prof. Dr. Sarmed H. Kathem Alkhateeb, the Dean of the University of Baghdad, College of Pharmacy, chaired a meeting with the committees responsible for organizing the 12th International Scientific Conference of the College. During the meeting, the progress of the committees’ work was reviewed, and the necessary procedures to complete the conference preparations were discussed. The conference is scheduled to be held in October under the theme “Pharmaceutical Innovations for Sustainable Healthcare.” The meeting also emphasized the importance of effective coordination among all committees and the integration of their efforts to ensure that all tasks are completed according to the established timeline. In addition, several proposals related to the conference’s organizational aspects were reviewed, and the necessary directives were issued to ensure the smooth implementation of the upcoming phase. The dean stressed the importance of maintaining a strong spirit of teamwork and ensuring close collaboration among all committees in a manner that reflects the distinguished academic and organizational standards of the College of Pharmacy while contributing to the successful organization of the 12th International Scientific Conference and the achievement of its scientific and organizational objectives. The 12th International Scientific Conference serves as an academic platform for advancing scientific research, promoting knowledge exchange, and strengthening academic collaboration. It aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by contributing to SDG 4: Quality Education through supporting higher education and scientific research; SDG 9: Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure by encouraging innovation and showcasing scientific achievements; and SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals by expanding cooperation and fostering the exchange of expertise among universities and academic and research institutions.
