The University of Baghdad, College of Pharmacy, held the second meeting of the Advisory Experts Committee for the Pharmacy Discipline on Sunday, 12 July 2026. The meeting was chaired by the Dean of the College, Professor Sarmed H. Kathem Alkhateeb, and attended by committee members representing both public and private colleges of pharmacy across Iraqi universities.

The meeting continued discussions on the main topics outlined in the committee’s work plan, reviewed the progress achieved to date, and examined the upcoming steps and mechanisms for completing the remaining tasks within the approved timeline. These efforts aim to strengthen coordination among committee members and ensure the successful achievement of the committee’s objectives.

The meeting was held as part of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research’s ongoing efforts to advance higher education and enhance the quality of academic programs, in line with the ministry’s slogan, “Effective Education… Qualified Graduates… Strong Economy.” It also supports the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 4 (Quality Education) and SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth), by fostering the preparation of competent pharmacy graduates equipped with the knowledge and skills required to meet the evolving demands of the labor market.
