In a new scientific achievement added to the academic and research record of the University of Baghdad, College of Pharmacy, Professor Dr. Samer Imad Mohammed, Head of the Clinical Pharmacy Department, has joined the editorial board of the international scientific journal PLOS ONE as an academic editor in recognition of his scientific and research expertise and contributions to the field of clinical research. This appointment follows the official welcome message he received from the journal’s editorial board, marking the beginning of his new responsibilities within the journal’s scientific editorial and peer-review process.
PLOS ONE is one of the leading international multidisciplinary scientific journals, published by the Public Library of Science (PLOS) under an open access model. It is indexed in major international scientific databases, including Scopus, Web of Science, and PubMed, and is ranked in the first quartile (Q1) globally. The selection of a faculty member from the college to serve on its editorial board reflects the international recognition of Iraqi scientific and research expertise, as well as their experience in evaluating and reviewing research in accordance with globally recognized scientific and methodological standards. This achievement represents the outcome of the scientific and research efforts of the college’s faculty members and marks another step toward strengthening the college’s academic and research standing and international presence. It also provides broader opportunities for communication and interaction with researchers and academics from various scientific institutions around the world.
