Students of the College of Pharmacy, University of Baghdad, participated on Wednesday, 14 October 2026, in the University of Baghdad Chess Championship, held at the Al-Khwarizmi College of Engineering. Student Muhannad Ahmed Abd, a second-year student, secured first place at the university level, while Adyan Abdul Rasul, a fifth-year student, achieved joint third place. This achievement reflects the talents and excellence of the college’s students and highlights the role of student activities in developing cognitive skills and fostering a spirit of positive competition. This accomplishment also supports the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 3: Good Health and Well-being and SDG 4: Quality Education, by promoting student activities that contribute to developing students’ abilities and cognitive and social skills.
